It all began in 2009 when I was shopping with my friend and saw a tote bag in the sale. I said "I could make one of those', and so I did and Annie's was born.
My first 'gig' was at Shiregreen Community Christmas fete, selling handmade products on a stall. Then followed a stall at the May Day event in Graves Park, where a customer recommended I rent a stall at Chesterfield Market. One stall soon became three until 7 years later (Oct 2016) I left the market and set up home at 554 Abbeydale Road.
I now run classes in my shop to teach sewing skills and provide all the materials needed to do the job. I sell fabric, haberdashery, and various handmade products that I make in the shop while waiting for customers
