Welcome to Annie's! I'm Lindsey, the owner.

I have been sewing for over 40 years and first began after being given a sewing machine which I used to make pyjamas for my three sons and I've never looked back.

I still get as excited now about starting a new project as I did then.

​

My proudest moment was the day I opened Annie's in October 2016.

It all began in 2009 when I was shopping with my friend and saw a tote bag in the sale. I said "I could make one of those', and so I did and Annie's was born.

My first 'gig' was at Shiregreen Community Christmas fete, selling handmade products on a stall. Then followed a stall at the May Day event in Graves Park, where a customer recommended I rent a stall at Chesterfield Market. One stall soon became three until 7 years later (Oct 2016) I left the market and set up home at 554 Abbeydale Road.

My Mother 'Annie' taught me to sew so it felt only right to name the shop after her.

We stock a wide variety of fabric including jersey and knits, linen, viscose, cotton, cotton lawn and much more, as well as an extensive selection of haberdashery.
